Overview

Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado is opening a brand new expansion that will have over 500 luxurious rooms, 4 delectable restaurants, and a full service spa/salon!

Our restaurants will feature a Chophouse, 24/7 Caf, Specialty Restaurant, and Buffet. Our spa will feature state of the art spa services on top of the 23rd story of our resort along with a roof top pool, saunas, hot tubs and more!

Responsibilities

The incumbent in this position is responsible for welcoming the guests and ensuring that they are checked in and out properly.

The incumbent in this position, as with all members of the Monarch Casino Resort Spa Team, is expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance. This position shares in the Monarch Casino Resort Spa support of the companys Vision, Mission, Values, and consistently performs all functions in a fashion that inspires and motivates others to actively pursue them.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide a warm welcome to our internal and external guests.
  • Provide guests with directions as needed.
  • Efficiently checking in/out guests, which involves retrieving the guest reservation, verifying special requests and accommodations, programming room keys, calculating room charges, making approved changes to guests accounts and collecting a form of payment for charges incurred.
  • Handle large amounts of currency accurately and efficiently.
  • Accurately taking and relaying guest requests to other departments such as Housekeeping, Engineering, Bell/Valet, VIP etc.
  • Properly handle guest mail
  • Assist guest with any concerns that they may have and record such comments and concerns.
  • Answers the phone within three rings and with a smile.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Experience preferred.
  • Must be friendly, approachable and team oriented.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Computer Knowledge - excel, word, outlook, payroll system, PMS system
  • Ability to work well with others and alone.
  • Must be able to stand and for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent in this position works on-site at the casino and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The positions work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation.
