Job Description

Southwest Behavioral and Health Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Jr. Accounts Receivable Specialist. We are seeking someone who enjoys research, problem solving and excellent communication skills. Do you meet all those criterias? Job Preview at a Glance:

The Jr. Accounts Receivable Specialist reports directly to the AP/AR Manager. Receives general direction for specific projects and is required to work independently with minimal direction on daily operation.

Location & Schedule:

This is a Full Time, Monday- Friday working a week hybrid position.

Pay: Starting at $24.71 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bank deposits on a timely basis.
  • Assist with posting payments to the Client Accounts in HDS on a timely basis.
  • Assist with obtaining claims data and other information to accurately apply cash receipts.
  • Assist with posting cash/check/EFT receipts to Great Plains on a timely basis.
  • Assist with reconciling credit card receipts to bank and recording in Great Plains.
  • Assist with reconciling the Client Fund Account to the General Ledger.
  • Maintain filing system for all billings and related contracts.
  • Follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile other various General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Generate/upload journal entries relating to cash receipts and accounts receivables as needed. Assist with the year-end audit.
  • Adhere to assigned working hours and breaks.
  • Ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and/or department.
  • Keep supervisor informed of identified problems and recommend possible solutions.

Education & Qualifications:

Associate's Degree plus 1-year experience, or H. S. Diploma plus 3 years direct experience, preferably in a behavioral health or hospital setting.
