Kettle Driver

LOCATION:    Kroc Corps Community Center Phoenix, Arizona

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Phoenix, Arizona is looking to fill a Kettle Driver position for the Christmas Season. The successful candidate for this position will have at least 2 years driving experience.

The Kettle Driver will drive a truck or van to various locations to drop off and pick up kettles and bellringers. This person will ensure the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times and operate the vehicles following Salvation Army and State Driving Regulations. This employee will also assist in performing other kettle and Christmas related assignments as directed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years driving experience
• DOT certification preferred but not required
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass Salvation Army fleet safety e-training
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer and to understand written information.
