Position Summary | The Department of Neurology at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Health Science Center (HSC) is currently recruiting a Lab Technician. The department laboratory focuses on traumatic brain injury and intracerebral hemorrhage research. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to follow established lab procedures accurately. The successful candidate will assist in the research of neuroprotective mechanisms in traumatic brain injury and intracerebral hemorrhage. This role will be responsible for collaborating with and assisting PI and/or lab staff in planning, developing, and implementing laboratory studies and small animal surgeries, ensuring laboratory compliance, application of IRB and other funding sources to renewing, obtaining, and securing funding for the lab. Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
