JOB SUMMARY: Plans, directs, coordinates and monitors all Quality and Point of Care initiatives, policies and procedures within assigned departments including but not limited to Quality Systems program, audits, monitoring of Laboratory Information System, monitoring status of staff licenses, training, competencies and certification of equipment. Confers with Administration, Medical Director and Medical Staff to ascertain Harris Health System needs related to Laboratory Services while ensuring activities are in accordance with FDA, AABB, CAP and JCAHO standards and HH Administrative policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry ad certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
2.Work Experience (Years and Area):Five years experience in medical laboratory setting.

3.Management Experience (Years and Area):Three years in supervising staff in a medical laboratory.

4.Equipment Operated:PC's equipment, Priner, Terminals, Analyzers
