Job Description:

Starting Salary Range: $84,344 - $102,273

The Ohana Therapist reports to the Ohana Clinical Director and is responsible for providing intake evaluations and individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents and their families. Training in evidence-based treatments for youth, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or Motivational Enhancement Therapy is preferred. In addition, the Ohana therapist provides mental health education to patients and, as appropriate, to the community and other professionals. Other important dimensions of this position include commitment to continuous learning, innovation, quality of care and outcomes measurement, professionalism, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, curiosity and comfort prioritizing safety and quality of care.

Ohana is a growing innovative program seeking multiple licensed therapists to join its team. Ohana is an emerging, groundbreaking program dedicated to improving the mental health and overall well-being of children, families and communities through care, education and advocacy. At maturity, Ohana will offer family-centered diagnostic, treatment and prevention programming for mental health problems in children and adolescents. Our top priority is the provision of timely and high-quality evaluations and family-centered, evidence-based treatments for the psychiatric problems that most commonly affect children, teenagers, and their families, including problems with anxiety, mood, attention, self-regulation, eating, and substance abuse. To accomplish this, we are building a holistic continuum of care that offers treatment that is individualized, and may include psychotherapy, group therapy, medication management, and skill-building work with parents and families complemented by attention to nurturing healthy habit regarding sleep, nutrition, exercise, and social connections and interests that foster resiliency and well-being.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in therapy with children, adolescents and families. Training in either Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is preferred. Training in evidence based treatments for Substance Use Disorders (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy or Contingency Management) and certification in said therapy is preferred.

Education:

Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology or Human services required.

Licensure/Certifications:

LCSW, LMFT, PsyD is required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. MOAB certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire. Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based therapy for children or adolescents preferred.
