Position Description
Advises individuals and provides guidance services regarding complex issues of assigned area. Work is performed under minimal supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures. This title will require an extended, descriptive title.

Major/Essential Functions
Per Title V DHSI grant, develops, coordinates, and delivers outreach programs and marketing strategies, related to recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students for the Hunt School of Nursing (HSON). Collects data and analyzes trends in recruitment and retention programs. Reports to the Assistant Director of the Hunt School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs.

Independently develops and maintains partnerships between local high schools and universities, faculty, community partners, and other identified groups to promote the Hunt School of Nursing programs. Meets regularly with high school counselors/advisors to promote the HSON undergraduate programs. Coordinates with the MSN graduate Program Director on enrollment evens at area hospitals and health organizations.

Provides academic advising to potential nursing students on the application and admission process for both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Maintains database in Customer Relations Management (CRM) for tracking and reporting purposes per the Title V DHSI grant.
Position-Specific Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years related experience; Or a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience equal to seven (7) years.

Experience with high school and early high school programs. Experience in college/university setting, specifically in recruitment. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Program planning and implementation skills. Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certifications, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals. Skills in the configuration and use of computerized database programs. Ability to provide leadership and guidance to administrative support staff and/or students. Organizing and coordinating skills. Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Occasional Duties
Participates in and/or organizes and implements all aspect of large, multi-departmental special events utilizing face-to-face and virtual presentations. Maintains promotional materials, budgetary, operational controls and inventory. Coordinates with multiple outside entities while representing the Texas Tech University Health Sciences El Paso (TTUHSC EP) at local, statewide and national events.

Responsible for maintaining financial records and/or transactions related to recruitment efforts. These include but are not limited to direct pay transactions, purchase orders, travel and event receipts and other related forms.

Assist and participate in other Hunt School of Nursing institutional events and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
