Major/Essential Functions

• Coordinate scheduling and placement of students in the West Texas AHEC region.
• Work with community partners to bring reasonably priced continuing education to the area for providers.
• Develop, track and monitor other programs and projects related to the grants, for example, the new Scholar Program.
• Assist communities with practice entry and support needs.
• Log appropriate activities into iAHEC system in a timely manner for grant reporting.
• Develop memorandum of agreements and affiliation agreements with appropriate parties.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred.
3-4 years experience in planning, production and evaluation of professional education activities.
3-4 years experience in medical school setting or other educational environment.
Above average computer skills in Microsoft Office etc.

Occasional Duties

• Responsible for planning and executing AHEC activities for institutional departments and outside organizations throughout the year.
• Responsible for the oversight of all event logistics and reporting to director regarding Continuing Based Education (CBE) functions.
• Identify and recruit health professions preceptors/training sites for medical students, nurse practitioner, physician assistant and other health care students in the region.
