Position Description
Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Assists the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Academic Affairs to support the management of major projects, including daily operational processes, data/information collection and analysis, communications, and management of events related to the AVPs functions in the following areas of oversight: OIRE; SACSCOC accreditation; THECB compliance (i.e. program review/reporting, changes in current or new program/articulation agreements, etc.); Title V DHSI grant and other externally funded projects (e.g. HEERF, THECB modernization grant); as well as committees chaired by the AVP (e.g. CIRE, eLearning Committee; QEP Committee).
  • Assists with the management of major institutional projects involving offices/departments/committees across TTUHSC El Paso campus, to include monitoring of timelines, scheduling meetings/events/activities, and related operational processes.
  • Performs data/information collection procedures, to include dissemination of requests, monitoring of submissions, tracking/organization of data files; performs non-statistical analysis of data/information; and develops visual depictions (tables, charts, graphs, etc.) for reporting purposes.
  • Monitors and tracks financial activities related to grants/contracts management, including processes required for the financial operations of external awards where the AVP serves as fund manager (e.g. Title V, HEERF); utilizes institutional financial systems (i.e. Banner, Cognos) and MS Office software (i.e. Excel) to perform financial procedures and functions.
  • Assists with development of reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Assists with website maintenance, to include uploading information/reports, monitoring website accuracy, content editing, interacting with website administrators and webmasters.
  • Assists with Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and overflow work as assigned by the AVP for Academic Affairs.
