Aetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Lead Data Engineer to lead key analytics engineering initiatives, including end to end ownership for designing and deploying big data products. Develop and implement patterns to leverage on-prem and cloud computing resources to deploy/optimize machine learning algorithms/data models on digital assets. Develop and implement advanced algorithms/data models to enable near-real time delivery of machine learning driven insights to end consumers. Use advanced programming skills in java, python or any of the major programming languages to build software solutions/services, including robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. write complex etl (extract / transform / load) processes, preferably in python, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing. Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products. Design data marts and data models to support data science and other internal customers. Act as a lead and mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice, apply aetna systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across multiple domains spanning broader enterprise. collaborate with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into highly available, production systems. use in-depth knowledge on apache spark, hadoop architecture, hdfs commands and experience designing & optimizing queries to build scalable, modular, and efficient data pipelines. Integrate data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools in order to determine optimal solution given the requirements dictated by the model/use case.
Required Qualifications
2 years experience as Data Engineer or in a related cccupation. Minimum 2 years of data or software engineering experience. Experience must include managing relational database platforms including postgres and sql server. Requires experience working with sql, java, python and reverse-engineering data flows; data integration tool talend, informatica, and ssis; analytics/reporting tools crystal reports, tableau, and powerbi. Must have experience administering complex and mission critical data sets and troubleshooting multiple data sources; leveraging object-oriented programming skills for developing data processing applications; and developing and maintaining database objects, including stored procedures, functions, and views using pl/sql or t-sql.
