Overview

Morsco/Reece is looking for a lead designer to join our growing product team, working in partnership with business owners and IT to deliver web and mobile products. As a member of the product team, you will focus on identifying and designing digital solutions to improve the lives of our customers. This individual has experience working in UI/UX design and participating in other parts of product development such as customer research/journey. This individual will play a critical role developing and optimizing the e-commerce platform while also creating new tools to help our customers grow and manage their business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype user flows, schematics, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups

  • Work within and maintain the design system

  • Work with Product and Tech lead to translate insights into product ideas and solutions

  • Help conduct user research - such as interviews, surveys, and usability studies - to understand our customers needs and develop solutions that solve their problems

  • Work within an Agile team to quickly design, test, and implement changes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio of projects showcasing data and solution-based thinking that drive design decisions

  • Experience working as part of a broader product team

  • Proficient with Figma or similar system design applications and suites such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Zeplin

  • Experience working within and scaling a design system

  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to identify and solve user problems through research and critical thinking

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of front-end development processes and artifacts a plus

  • Working knowledge of analytics platforms and data driven design decisions a plus
