POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the Director by overseeing the daily operation of the Radiology department to ensure quality services. Performs clinical duties of staff radiologic technologist. Establishes protocols, dose reduction techniques, for departments under the supervision of medical director and hospital RSO. Subject level expert on contrast agents administration, positioning, equipment performance, supplies, radiation safety and quality assurance. Communicates complex operational issues which require his/her attention of the Director in a timely fashion.

  • Graduate from an approved/accredited School of Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Minimum of three years as staff technologist.
  • ARRT (R) (M) Licensed: Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist. Technical, clerical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills relevant to patient care/area.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Other certification requirements as defined by the certification policy.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
