Lead Therapist- School-Based
Job Description
Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking dedicated and inspiring Lead School-Based Therapist. This is an exciting position where no one day is the same. This staff is responsible for providing timely, evidence-based clinical and non-clinical support services to adults, children and adolescents, including screening, assessment, treatment planning, individual, family, couples and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention.
Location and Schedule
We are seeking a strong Lead Therapist to work in our School & Community-based Counseling Services program! This position will be working in the East Valley.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements treatment plans, clinical assessment criteria and programmatic goals, objectives and activities.
- Performs intakes and psychosocial assessments of families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults.
- Conducts ongoing therapy with families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults (individually and in-group as therapeutically indicated) within a brief therapy framework.
- Coordinates closely with clinical staff and staff from other providers.
- Provides community consultation and education to community agencies, schools, neighborhood groups, and other community human service professionals.
- Provides case consultations with other agencies and organizations.
- Serves as a resource to clinic staff in areas of specialization and attends case staffing.
- Accurately and appropriately documents client services provided according to the approved clinical standard rules, regulations and procedures of the agency.
- Maintains required number of client contact hours per week.
- Works with supervisor and/or Human Resources to develop and implement a Professional Development Plan.
- Actively participates in the Mentor Program.
- Serves as the clinical point person for all RBHA and SBH staff requests related to community services.
- Assists with hiring, training, supervising, and directing new staff as needed.
- Provides clinical supervision for Bachelor and Master level student as assigned and per school requirements.
- Plans and facilitates clinician meetings, as indicated.
- Provides clinical review and co-signature on assessments and service plans completed by BHTs in accordance with licensing guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Masters degree in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work)
- One (1) year of full-time behavioral health experience
- Associate or Independent licensure through the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Level I fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire (as required per program requirements)
