Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lead Welder to join our team. As a Lead Welder, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing welding duties, ensuring work is completed according to quality standards and deadlines. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in welding techniques, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and technical expertise.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques as required.
Inspect welds to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order.
Coordinate work schedules to meet production goals and deadlines.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers on welding projects.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise among team members.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Welder with leadership responsibilities.
Certification in welding or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques.
Strong knowledge of welding equipment and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
