Position Summary

The Learning Specialist will provide part-time, on-calladministrative support for the setup, maintenance, and monitoring ofeducational activities related to Medical Spanish education at the HSC. Thisrole ensures the effective coordination and delivery of program initiatives tosupport students, faculty, and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Educational Administration: Set up, maintain, andmonitor educational activities related to Medical Spanish education, includingin person and online education , assessments, and training sessions within HSC.
  • Assessment Coordination: Organize and oversee thescheduling, proctoring, and evaluation of Medical Spanish assessments andrecords to ensure educational outcomes.
  • Resource Management: Prepare and distributeeducational materials, manage program resources, and ensure that all programneeds are met effectively.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurateand up-to-date records of program activities and assessment results, and assistin preparing reports for program evaluation as well as financial records
  • Communication and Outreach: Respond to inquiries,coordinate communication with participants, and promote program initiatives toincrease awareness and participation.

Schedule:
This is a .25 FTE part-time, on-call position with flexible hours basedon program needs.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Spanish, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is required.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage on-call responsibilities effectively.
  • Experience in educational program coordination, particularly in language instruction or assessment.
  • Previous experience with UNM educational and administrative system, preferred
