Leave of Absence Administrator - AZ Based
Job Description
You must reside in AZ and be able to commute into one of our corporate offices as needed, this is a hybrid role: HQ is located at: 6201 North 24th Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85016 or North Phoenix location at: 20400 North 29th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
Essential Job Results:Ensure leaves are administered appropriately by assisting employees in understanding the organizations leave offerings and acting as a liaison between the organization and third-party leave administrators.
Makes, presents, and defends recommendation for continual improvement in the overall leave administrative process. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence/disabilities.
Promotes employee satisfaction by advising on eligibility, and by creating and recommending employee communications related to leave administration.
Provides guidance during claims processes. Maintains records related to leave administration.
Process employee status changes and ensures accuracy of all leave of absences and paid time off within the HRIS system and with vendors. Assists with plan changes and basic configuration of the HRIS for leave administration.
Recommends, coordinates and schedules meetings and training sessions. Performs quality checks of all leave related data.
Compiles standard reports for leave administration.
Experience/Education/Skills
- Minimum 4 years of related human resources experience.
- Bachelors degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS database. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to empathize with associates during difficult situations. Detail oriented. Organizational skills. Customer service skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and trust.

- Possesses solid working knowledge FMLA, ADA and other human resources policies and procedures. Familiar with general office procedures.

- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Understands process flow. Resolves defined problems and separates and combines tasks for efficient workflow.
