Position Summary The UNM Law Library is seeking a full time LibraryInfo Specialist 3 who will, in collaboration with the Library Director, develop,implement, communicate, and monitor policies for the Law Librarys AccessServices unit that promote the Librarys mission and provide exceptionalservice to UNM law students, faculty, and staff as well asattorneys, judges, and self-represented litigants. We seek someone who isenthusiastic about working in an active environment doing a wide variety oftasks. The LIS 3 will be responsible for dailyoperations of access services functions including circulation desk services, interlibraryloan, stacks maintenance, reserves processing, library entry access, andphysical space and equipment oversight. They will oversee a team oflower level staff and student employees, ensuring consistent andexcellent performance during all hours of operation. Problem solvingand analytical skills are required in order to perform complex technical operations and transactions. Physical activity isalso involved, including but not limited to pulling material from shelves,lifting boxes, and moving book trucks. The candidate should have a p-card or ability toobtain one.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with library circulation services.
  • Experience with interlibrary loan.
  • Experience with stacks maintenance.
  • Experience with reserves processing.
  • Experience managing physical space and equipment.
  • Proficiency using OCLC WMS.
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to develop professional knowledge and skills through appropriate training.
