Polinsky Children’s Center (PCC) is a 24-hour facility for the temporary emergency shelter of children who have been placed in protective custody for their own safety due to abuse, abandonment, neglect or their guardian’s inability to provide care. All youth who enter the program have experienced trauma and our goal is to reduce the impact of their trauma and build resilience to stabilize them for success in their future placement.

At the core we believe in working in service of the youth and in doing so our dedicated team of clinicians, rehab specialists and a psychiatrist work diligently with other entities connected with the youth to coordinate care and provide behavioral health assessments and diagnoses, client planning, individual and group therapy, rehab services, case management, consultation and medication management.

PCC welcomes persons of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Our staff members are culturally diverse and have fluency in non-English languages. We work from a trauma informed care approach and are sensitive to the cultural needs of the foster youth, LGBTQIA+, CSEC, autistic, and other populations in our community.
