Full time and part time opportunities available. All positions are located in Tampa, Fl.

Full time position shifts are three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts.

Both part time and full time LPN positions are eligible for a sign on bonus payable in increments.

***SIGN ON BONUS- Full Time= $2,000, Part Time= $1,000***

Summary/Characteristicsof Position:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)is a professional nursing position that provides medical care and treatment to individualscoping with or recovering from substance abuse addiction and/or co-occurring mentalhealth disorders.

Essential Functions:

  • Completesmedical screenings of clients to determine admission and/or continued serviceeligibility.
  • Appliespractical nursing principles and protocols for the treatment of persons servedincluding, but not limited to, screenings, assessments and integrated planning
  • Routinelycompletes vitals, PPD administering/reading and applicable documentation.
  • Communicatesempathically with clients regarding addiction, mental illness, medications andrecovery
  • Assistsphysicians with medical examinations and carries out physician orders.
  • Administersand documents medication/narcotics/treatments as prescribed by protocol orphysician's order.
  • Maintainsinventory of medical supplies and drug formularies
  • Ensures all billable/non-billable services are accurately recorded inthe Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Prepares internalreports related to service delivery, billing, medication errors,on-the-job-injuries and other reportable incidents.
  • Implementation of seclusion/restraint -Ensures nursing supportpersonnel carry out assigned duties correctly to agency model as directed.
  • Makes referrals or linkage to care for recommended medicalservices.
  • Participates inclient case staffings and treatment team meetings.
  • Develops andfacilitates health education groups for patients on health and social topics.
  • Adheres to regulatory bodies and licensing rules, guidelines, andall established protocol to carry out all duties required by contract,licensure, accreditation, and certification relative to program or serviceassignment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pre-requisite Requirements:

  • Active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance withFlorida Law.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience
  • Must possess valid Florida Drivers' License

Preferred Attributes:

  • Previousexperience in a behavioral healthcare setting

  • Abilityto relate to clients from all social-economic class, race, sexual orientationand/or substance abuse/mental health problems
  • Flexiblework schedule as needed and agree to work in an on-call capacity when necessary
  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizationalskills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MicrosoftOffice Suite or related software.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position reports directly to theNursing Supervisor. This position does not provide direct supervision toothers.

Physical Requirements: Safety/HealthConsiderations:

  • Carrying, stooping, speaking, and listening.
  • Prolonged periodsof standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Must be able tolift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able toparticipate in CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention training and applytechniques, when applicable.

Work Environment: LPNs function in a variety oflocations including both secured and non-secured settings including addictions receiving facilities andresidential treatment settings. This role routinely uses computer, mobile devices,and standard office equipment.

Travel: Travelrequired between assigned and training locations. This position does notrequire overnight travel.
