As the Statewide Licensing Investigator you will be performing comprehensive investigation of licensing issues, evaluating a family's ability to take action to rectify issues and concerns, and assisting resource homes in understanding the issue/investigation process. **As this is a statewide position, extensive travel is required. Background in Social Work or related a must. English/Spanish Bilingual a plus, but not required.**

What You'll Do:

  • Investigate licensed resource (foster) homes and professional foster homes (HCTC) that have an open licensing issue and/or investigation with OLR or DCS.
  • Evaluates a resource familys ability to take necessary action to rectify issues and concerns.
  • Assists resource homes in understanding the licensing issue/investigation process.
  • Determines applicable services that would be required to assist resource families in meeting their goals as appropriate to their needs.
  • Tracks and coordinates all licensing issues and investigations from OLR and DCS.
  • Makes recommendations for currently licensed resource and HCTC homes that are under investigation based on: OLR Regulations, contractual requirements, AzCA licensing requirements and agency expectations, as well as any and all other applicable tools utilized to determine potential health and safety risks and/or potential licensing violations in licensed foster homes.
  • Assists resource home licensing staff in implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAP) with licensed foster homes.
  • Completes and submits all licensing inquiry reports to OLR, as well as internal Program Directors.
  • Develops and implements a system of tracking and communication both internally and externally to ensure all areas of licensing inquiries and investigations have been addressed.
  • Compiles consistent and relevant data to assist programs with trends in licensing issues within licensed foster homes.
  • Works with programs statewide to assist in developing training tracks that reflect the issues and trends noted from licensing inquiries and investigations of resource homes.
  • Meets with statewide teams to provide expertise and feedback on training and development plan goals for resource homes at risk of licensing violations and/or resource homes with previous or current Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) in place.
  • Acts as a liaison between AzCA and all outside agencies involved in an inquiry/investigation of a resource home and/or any HCTC home.
  • Safely and effectively monitor client activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, which are consistent with the general responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field of study from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with children and/or families.
  • Experience with the Department of Child Safety or OLR preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred

Minimum Qualification & Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement).
  • Possess a valid Arizona drivers license and be insurable under the agencys automobile policy.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from clients homes and/or other relevant organizations/agencies
  • Must be able to provide DPS fingerprint clearance.
  • Must be able to meet training and agency compliance requirements for the position. An individual may qualify for this position if the individual is able to perform safely the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
