Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and two years of verifiable experience in mail handling, operating a commercial postage metering system, and processing of certified mail with electronic receipt function using a computer and current mail systems technology. Valid drivers license and have and maintain a clean driving record. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Must be insurable (for driving) by the Tohono Oodham Gaming Enterprise and to include the following:
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications: * Knowledge of the functions, structure, and policies and procedures of Tohono Oodham Gaming Enterprise. * Knowledge of postage rates. * Skill in operating postage machines. * Skill in operating business computers and office machines in a Windows environment. * Knowledge of transportation methods, agencies, and costs. * Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with the public, co-workers and maintaining a professional appearance. * Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction. * Ability to prepare and maintain written records and reports. * Ability to make mathematical computations. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Ability to represent the Facilities department in a professional manner, building respect and confidence in the Enterprise mail service. * Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. * Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to demonstrate excellence in everything, and continually seek improvement in results. * Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety procedures. * Ability to handle bulky and heavy items. * Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel crouch, or crawl and be able to reach out and pick-up and hold small objects. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment: Work is generally performed both indoors and outdoors in extreme heat and cold. Some work is performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Work schedule is a Monday-Friday work week. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
