Maintenance Technician
Job Description

Real Property Management First Choice has the perfect role for you as a Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible for providing a great resident experience by keeping the property looking great and working well. This could include basic handyman repairs, appliances, heating and cooling systems, overhead doors, and lighting (just to name a few).
Furthermore, individual apartments will need repairs & painting between tenants and during residency. You will be responsible for ensuring that the property shines.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician
- Property Maintenance - You will provide maintenance work which could include: general maintenance; light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting; light groundskeeping; light appliance installation/maintenance; trash/large object disposal and more.
- Customer Service - As a front line service team member, we want you to take pride in your appearance and how you interact with residents. A smile is part of the uniform.
- What Can Be Improved? - When you visit a property for a work order, you will have an opportunity to see other items that can be improved. This helps our residents love where they live and provides a view into property maintenance that helps our property owners improve the property.

- Familiarity with maintenance and/or trade work (painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc) are a plus!
Job Requirements for the Maintenance Coordinator Position
- Experience in maintenance and/or a trade craft (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, etc).
- Valid drivers license.
- Digital literacy and ability to use a smartphone.
- Cell phone to be able to communicate with office while you are out on site, call tenants to schedule work orders, and have our AppFolio application used for timing in and out on work orders and make readies!
Benefits & Pay
Compensation for the Maintenance Technician position is a base pay of $18-$21/hour based off experience. There is a 90 day probationary period. At the end of that time, if you are a good fit for the role and have shown up to work and completed your job tasks as directed, you will go through a review at this time. You will receive 401K matching up to 5% and 2 weeks PTO for 1 year pro-rated at that 90 day mark! *We do not currently have health benefits*
