Maintenance Worker

LOCATION: Herberger Center – Phoenix, Arizona

STATUS: PT/25 hrs/wk (20 hrs/wk Maintenance/5 hrs/wk Warehouse)

The Salvation Army is looking to fill a Maintenance/Warehouse Worker position at the Herberger Campus. The Ideal Candidate will have previous maintenance experience, good customer service skills and be a self starter.

The Maintenance Worker will assist with maintenance projects as assigned, including but not limited to light plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall and landscaping. This position will be responsible for maintaining all facilities, equipment and grounds in a clean and safe condition at all times. The Maintenance/Warehouse Worker position will clean the maintenance warehouse space daily and the restrooms weekly or as needed. This position will be responsible for assisting with maintaining of accurate files and records of all property projects and will assist in construction and remodeling projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 years maintenance experience
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be OSHA forklift certified within 30 days of hire.
• Must have current Arizona Drivers License with a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety e-learning
• Ability to pass a criminal background check  
• Ability to act in a professional manner with a good attitude and language conducive to The Salvation Army’s mission.
