Our client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Management Specialist in Arlington, VA.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
*Outreach to small businesses in the Arlington Community, partnering with the Arlington Employment Center and the Arlington/Alexandria Regional Workforce Council to develop employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities;
*Engage with Volunteer Arlington to identify and develop community-based activities for individuals with developmental disabilities;
*Develop marketing materials for use by staff for purposes of networking and distribution to internal and external stakeholders and community partners;
*Develop staff training modules centered on Employment First and Disability Awareness and other topics as assigned;
*Develop strategies for ongoing education and guidance in a shift towards leading with Employment/Employment
*Identify and leverage partnerships to target a broader population to promote Employment and Employment
*Facilitate focus group discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
*Prepare presentations and training resources.
*In collaboration with Arlington Employment Center and Employment Services Organizations, coordinate and execute a series of work readiness workshops and annual job fair.
*Monitor performance of Virginia's Nonemergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services
*In collaboration with DDS Support Coordinators, Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), and NEMT service provider, seek to resolve ongoing transportation issues related to NEMT services.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
*Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Project Management, and/or Entrepreneurship.
*Minimum Qualifications Include: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related field; Efficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint;
*Preferred Qualifications Include: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; experience facilitating group discussions; and experiencing networking with local businesses, community partners, and non-profits.
*Substitution: A related bachelor's degree may substitute for the minimum degree requirement if applicant has proven success and history of the minimum and preferred desirable qualifications and skills.
