This role is open to remote candidates living within 1 hour of Richmond, VA.

Local travel within the state of Virginia, up to 25% required.

Schedule is standard business hours, Monday-Friday; No nights, no weekends and no holidays.

The Behavioral Health Manager supports the state Medicaid plan by providing oversight of BH services, programming, and initiatives in the Virginia plan. Incumbent provides a consultative function regarding behavioral health issues to care management team. Position facilitates training on topical behavioral health issues to member facing staff at plan and is a plan leader who participates in a variety of local, regional, and state behavioral health stakeholder meetings. Incumbent is responsible for building out innovative behavioral health programs and initiatives to improve the overall health and well-being of our members.

Required Qualifications
-10+ years community mental health work experience required
-3+ Managed work experience in behavioral health and/or care management required in a supervisory/management capacity
-5+ Experience serving chronically ill populations with mental health and Substance Use Disorders required
-Unrestricted and active state of Virginia license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Registered Nurse (RN) with psychiatric experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include the following:
-Managed care work experience, demonstrated ability to form and maintain collaborative working relationships with community based mental health providers, knowledge of Virginia Department of Medical Assistance (DMAS) regulations related to behavioral health and substance use services, managed care supervisory experience, prior work history developing and implementing innovative behavioral health programs, and prior experience providing behavioral health training.

Education
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or closely related field. If Registered Nurse Applicant, requires Bachelor's in Nursing.
