Job Description

The Marketing Manager, Social Media leads the Social Media Team including the Social Media Program Manager and the Social Media Specialist. They are responsible for the goals, KPIs, and overall strategy for social media channels, campaigns, and programs. These channels include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat. They must stay up to date on the latest research, trends, and industry and competitor information and work to implement the data and information gathered into the organizational strategy. They also facilitate and support the Social Media Teams content creation, ideation, and brainstorming. They manage social media ads and the corresponding budget for the social media channels, campaigns, and programs.

The Marketing Manager, Social Media demonstrates a deep understanding of Desert Financial including our mission, values, products, services, and brand look and voice. They work closely with the marketing team and internal clients to promote the brand, products, and services. They help the Social Media Team manage the online community and reputation as well as support Desert Financials public relations efforts and they attend events to capture content and act as a spokesperson for the credit union when necessary.

What you will do here:

Lead, coach, support, and mentor the social media team. Responsible for the daily management of teams as well as long-term support and coaching of each individual team members goals.

Manage and implement overall strategy for social media channels to include goals, KPIs, researching trends, and competitors.

Manage social media advertising and budget. Create the strategy for ad campaigns as well as place and optimize ads. Facilitate and support the social media teams content creation, ideation, and brainstorming. Work closely with the marketing team and internal clients to promote the brand, products, and services.

Support the social Media team in community management and reputation to include responding to members direct messages, comments, and reviews.

Support Desert Financials public relations needs to include attending events, writing press releases, pitching, and acting as a spokesperson when needed.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

7 years of Social Media management, Marketing, and/or Public Relations experience required.

1 years of Leadership, Mentorship, or Coaching experience preferred.

Experience in brand marketing management including reputation management required.

Experience managing social media including advertising and community management required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with public speaking required.

A high level of time management, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work with little supervision. Able to inspire and jump in and do it yourself required.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to produce quality work with tight deadlines required.

Professional with well-developed interpersonal skills essential to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of employees, managers, callers, visitors, and vendors required.

Ability to collaborate and work in a cross-functional environment. Ability to develop and maintain key business relationships required.

Must be detail oriented with a creative mind required.

Demonstrate strong organizational skills required.

Knowledge of Social Media Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Experience with Project Management Systems and Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) preferred.

AZDL Driver License Valid and in State required.
