SCOPE OF WORK Current Role

Category Manager: National Space Planning (100% funded by C&D)

  • Work closely with CSI Director and wider Insights team to develop selling stories for Sales teams to leverage to win at shelf.
  • Support Sales Strategy and Enablement in developing Best In Class shelving recommendations and Strategic National Planograms.
  • Provide customer-specific insights to help sell in items, increase facing or improve shelf positioning.
    • Responsibility for Mass (Walmart/Target), Strategic Grocery Accounts (Kroger, Meijer, Publix, ADUSA, Albertsons Co. Inc)
  • Attend meetings with retailers to present insights and ideas for category development, as requested by Sales partners.
  • Wider industry best practice learning by sharing with Advantage Solutions Shelf Management team.
  • Help to support new resource in learning categories and C&D brand strategies. Share efficient, processes and work together to enhance.

SCOPE OF WORK New Role

Category Manager: National Space Planning (100% funded by C&D)

  • Work in partnership with C&D teams (Sales, Category Management and Sales Strategy) to build customer-specific POG to help sell in items, increase facing or improve shelf positioning for C&D while ensuring category growth for retailer.
  • Specific responsibility for:
    • National Brokered Accounts (Grocery Retailers managed by Advantage Solutions all Grocery except Kroger, Meijer, Publix, ADUSA, Albertsons Co. Inc),
    • Drug, Beauty, and Dollar Channel
    • Support on other larger customers in busy times as requested (by Andrew).
    • Conducting space to sales and days of supply analysis (using C&D custom Circana / Advantage Syndicated database as relevant). Adopt methodology developed by Andrew Macaulay and continue the dialogue with him, so any improvements can be implemented.
    • Prioritize work based on $ opportunity size of both customer and category and responsiveness of buyer (work with Sales) to implement recommended changes to POG
  • POG recommendations are based on insights. Therefore, build Category and Client knowledge across 5 Strategic Business Units with multiple categories and 14+ brands.
    • Andrew and wider Advantage team will support - 101 info / C&D strategy planning docs including shelf strategy and insights supporting this.
  • Operational tasks maintain library and work with Andrew to develop efficient sharing process.
  • Wider industry best practice learning by sharing with Advantage Solutions Shelf Management team / taking part in any training offered.
