Manufacturing Assembly Team Leader

Leadership of hourly production Team Members with responsibility for successful completion of department tasks & responsibilities. Primary Shift will be 1st shift.

• Maintain a safe work environment while complying with the departmental procedures regarding environmental protection.
• Lead operational systems and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as quality inspection standards and work instructions.
• Lead with a Hands-On approach, leading hourly team members to complete scheduled work.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making ability regarding day to day operations and can successfully run the department in the absence of the supervisor.
• Effectively cross trains team members and recommends skill development to achieve departmental goals.
• Motivate team, minimize conflict within the department and encourage open lines of communication, treating team members fairly, fostering a team environment, and maintaining an air of professionalism and credibility.
• Effectively utilize time available to achieve results through proper delegation of work, plan production operations, and control over ongoing projects and prioritizing demands.
• Set up work areas; ensure team members have necessary tools.
• Complete all documentation and reports as necessary.
• Reports out to Supervisors, Manager, Shift Change
• Maintain working knowledge of the manufacturing responsibilities, and be able to provide relief for and work any shift as needed.
• Assist in creating and maintaining procedures, work instructions, and process flows as needed.

• Must be highly motivated individual and able to work in a fast paced environment.
• 3 months minimum in current position Required.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license issued
• Proficient with database applications such as AS400, MS Office, Customer Websites.
• Demonstrated a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and planning abilities.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Good attendance is critical.
• Must be willing and able to work any shift including overtime as needed.
• Proficient in mathematics, read and understand instructions.
• Previous Leadership and Training experience highly preferred.
• Demonstrated Leadership abilities required.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act independently.
• Manufacturing experience with a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated a safe work history.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making ability.
• Strong Communication skills
