MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
- The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, installation, and debugging of mechanical components and equipment throughout U.S. Cotton. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for following safety procedures, quality procedures, improving overall processes and related issues, including process development, process documentation, and problem solving.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs engineering projects at U.S. Cotton.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, product design, materials, tooling, and production equipment capabilities.
- Installation and debug of tooling and capital equipment.
- Responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required.
Works with U.S. Cotton vendors to improve components specifications used in the manufacturing of product. - Use SPC techniques to improve and control productivities and other activities related to production. Analyzes and plans workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
EXPERIENCE
Prior experience 2 to 5 years is strongly preferred.

EDUCATION
Four-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent with a concentration in a field related to Manufacturing but not required.

SKILL
Tooling systems and machining knowledge. PLC programming experience. AutoCAD or equivalent CAD program, and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of SPC methodology
