Job Description

The Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA) seeks a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring the organization achieves its mission to bring Arizonans together to create a stronger and brighter future for the state. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will coordinate, execute, monitor, and measure the organization’s marketing and communications efforts. The individual should be an excellent writer and have experience in content marketing across paid, owned and earned media. 

 

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is energetic, organized, creative, and self-motivated and who will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and will thrive in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and to embrace CFA’s commitment to advance prosperity, quality of life and opportunity for all Arizonans. Candidates should be innovative implementers — comfortable providing strategic support and performing the direct day-today work necessary. 

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in public relations, social media, website content management, graphic design and digital marketing. 

 

This position reports to the CFA Director, Strategic Marketing & Communications, and works collaboratively with other members and affiliates of the organization. 

 

Salary Range

$38,900 - $60,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

·        Help develop and execute the overall integrated strategic marketing and communications plan in support of CFA’s mission, vision and values. 

·        Support communications, public relations, digital marketing, social media, and website content management. 

·        Collaborate with leadership and staff to recognize and respond to internal and external communications opportunities and solutions. 

·        Work collaboratively across the organization to craft, edit and develop content for a wide range of print and electronic communications, including press releases, newsletters and e-news, brochures, website, etc. 

·        Coordinate and execute social media calendar and campaigns and ensure alignment with overall marketing campaign and CFA mission.

·        Design and edit graphics for print, social or web as needed.

·        Write and edit press releases, emails, and other communications as assigned.

·        Assist with website analytics reporting, social media reporting and media coverage reporting.

·        Maintain department calendar – tracking all projects, activities and events. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

 

Desired Qualifications

·        Evidence of a Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field preferred

·        Evidence of interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, management, and outside agencies.

·        Evidence of effective communication skills; extensive writing and editing experience in all media.

·        Experience with media relations, locally and national.

·        Experience in being a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively.

·        Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines on time and strong attention to detail.

·        Experience in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Salesforce (or other CRM applications). 

·        Demonstrated knowledge of online platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

·        Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, PHP and Java Script, as well as experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

·        Experience with Salesforce Pardot or other content management platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.). 

·        Demonstrated knowledge of Google Analytics.

·        Experience working under deadlines and stressful situations.

·        Experience in defining and resolving problems quickly and effectively.

·        Experience working in a non-profit organization. 

 

Working Environment

·        Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse. 

·        Required to stand for varying lengths of time. 

·        Travel, both in state and out of state, involving operation of a motor vehicle.
