Position Summary

The Alumni Relations Office has an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operations of a great team while also serving as an important connection between the Alumni Association, the Alumni Relations Office, and The University of New Mexico.

The Senior Marketing Rep will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications collateral and managing platforms for involvement and connections. The successful candidate will have a diverse skill set across multiple medias, the ability to organize and multi-task, develop relationships and be able to develop program analytics. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

-Developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies which integrate print and digital communications across multiple platforms.

-Ensuring that messaging follows the strategy, meets deadlines, and adheres to brand standards and identity.

-Oversee the delivery of email communications from the Alumni Association and its affiliated programs to Alumni which includes list development, design, proofreading, and overall management of the process.

-In collaboration with Alumni Relations Office staff and other campus partners, produce the Associations monthly e-newsletter, ensuring accurate content and timely delivery.

-Support the production of the Alumni Associations magazine which is produced two times a year to include coordination of the mailing list, printing and web-transfer, proofreading, and, when appropriate, contribute content.

-Oversee the Associations social media platforms and presence.

-Support Association events and programs by designing marketing materials (flyers, posters, brochures, etc.) and write speeches in support of key activities.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign; Photoshop; Illustrator
  • Experience in managing email-based marketing efforts and email design
  • Proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience with the functionality of diverse social media platforms
  • Experience in brand management and creative content
  • Experience in marketing platform analytics
  • Attention to detail
Additional Requirements Candidates for this position must be eligible for employment as verified by the US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA); those individuals on the OIG/GSA Exclusion Lists will not be considered for hire. Once hired, periodic checks will be made for eligibility of continued employment.
