Job Description

This Materials Management Tech position is Full Time at Northwest Medical Center. Weekend rotation required.
Mon-Fri

Position Purpose

Performs a wide variety of tasks including restocking of supplies, maintaining inventories, compiling stock records and addressing distribution issues of departments outside of the hospital building. Performs duties to distribute medical and general supplies hospital-wide. Insures department or patient charges for items issued from the Storeroom.

Stocks warehouse items in proper warehouse location maintaining FIFO stock rotation and warehouse order & cleanliness. Prepares warehouse stock items for general distribution from the proper warehouse location including tagging for use as patient charge items.

Performs equipment rounds to insure patient care equipment is properly stocked, clean, and ready for next patient use. Receives requests (pull sheets) for supplies, selects stock from inventory and distributes supplies to designated areas. Expedites processing of goods in accordance with priorities and predetermined schedules. Performs data entry into computer systems per established procedures maintaining keying accuracy and efficiency. Maintains department records, reports, and files as required. Inventories routine supply storage areas and replenishes par levels. Inventories specialty supply storage areas, maintains familiarity with all products, and replenishes par levels.
