- Would you like the opportunity to help health plans that work with the government solve difficult and compelling analytic health care questions? The Government Services Client Engagement team is introducing a new Advisor position where you could put those skills and interests to work.

- In this role, you will help provide CVS Health clients with the insight to better understand key marketplace dynamics to help develop product and marketing strategies to grow membership, expand lines-of-business, and accelerate client business strategy development. This work will deliver the fact-based business and policy intelligence necessary to make informed decisions on primarily Medicaid and Exchange strategies.

- As a member of our team, you will interact with individuals and teams that are both internal and external to the organization. The breadth of our government services team presents the opportunity to work with multiple functional areas including sales, marketing, clinical, government affairs, regulatory affairs, account management, and analytics. Activities may include serving as a project manager over internal work groups, coordinating project efforts between disparate departments and preparing presentation materials for client facing audiences. These external deliverables will demonstrate insight and understanding of a clients business problem to be solved; will formulate a fact-based approach to solve the problem; and finally, will analyze and draw key conclusions.

- An individual who joins our team will develop and/or maintain expert knowledge of the rapidly changing government payor market space, the pharmacy benefits management industry, CVS Caremark data and CVS Caremark programs, services and sales goals. The Advisor will be adept at incorporating publically available marketplace data, purchased data sets, plus be knowledgeable in working on requests in conjunction with our analytics team to create custom and standardize consultative insights. The Advisor will also support prospect sales and existing client engagement insight development.

- A successful Advisor will have a track record of using competitive intelligence, policy expertise, and business analytics to develop a deep understanding of our client business and their health care goals. As part of the team, they will acquire and maintain a deep understanding of CVS Caremarks business strategies that are related to key government markets such as Medicaid, Exchange and the Dually Eligible. Using this knowledge and insight, they will provide clients with fact-based and data-driven strategic guidance on how CVS Health will help meet their goals.

- A candidate on this team will perform a variety of internal and external research in response to specific business questions. This person will then communicate those findings, including methodology and outcomes back to key business leaders of CVS Health and to our clients. The consultative nature of the position means there is potential for a high frequency of client facing activities and meetings. This may include on-site or teleconferenced presentations as an individual or team, and written documents for assigned clients and in support of other clients.

Required Qualifications
- 3 + years of experience in a field such as: management consulting, sales and marketing research, account management, political science, business administration, heath care administration, epidemiology, or other research-driven field

- Demonstrated experience using research and business analytics to problem solve client questions

- Aptitude to communicate complex findings and conclusions in an easy to understand way

- Ability to collaborate with and influence clients and customers in ways that support CVS Caremark products and services

- Ability to appropriately prioritize competing requests to ensure focus on highest impact activities

- Ability to interact with others in a collegial and professional manner; leverage team resources to support assigned clients; and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks

- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage tight deadlines

- Experience in Microsoft Excel-based models and PowerPoint presentation development

- Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to and fielding questions from clients

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge of pharmaceuticals or health care industry is preferred

- Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and Exchange experience and knowledge is a plus

- Occasional travel to conferences and/or client site to participate in client meetings may be required

Education
Bachelor and/or Masters degree in health care administration, business administration, sales and marketing research, political science, economics, epidemiology, or other research-driven field
