Medicaid Sr Data Consultant - NextGen

Job Description
The Medicaid NextGen Provider Data Integration team is hiring a senior consultant to support the provider data migration from QNXT to the Enterprise Provider Data Base (EPDB). This successful candidate will partner with, and support activities of, the PDS Business Analyst to advise the program team on impact to business functions from data moves and avoid negative downstream impact to claims and provider based functions.

* Requirements analysis, and design/development/validation of SQL application tools
* Coordination with department and health plan management on reporting requirements and data development for CSRA operational needs
* Collaboration with other team members in the design and execution of SQL query requirements

Required Qualifications
* 3-4 years experience/knowledge of MS-SQL and SQL Server DBMS

* 1-2 years experience/knowledge of the QNXT claims administration system or Medicaid provider data

* Knowledge of medical terminology

* Ability to communicate statistical and technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.

* Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking ability.

* Understanding of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses.

* Experience in working in a data warehouse environment as well as the ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources.

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of healthcare business application systems is desired.

Education
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
