Job Description
Broward House is highly diverse in its staff and clients, serving individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, Substance Abuse, homelessness and Mental Health. Candidate must possess an ability to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and in a medical and social service setting.
Responsible for managing first impressions at the front desk, operating a multiple high pace telephone system to answer incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate staff as well as triage individuals for immediate needs. Administrative and office task also assigned.
Skills/ Requirements
- Greet clients and visitor in a professional, supportive manner providing program and community information
- Triages clients for the appropriate program and staff connection
- Maintains neat and welcoming entrance to the facility directing guest and visitors during office hours.
- Provide administrative assistance to the management in the assigned facility.
- Provides scheduling and documentation support for facility programs
- Order and maintain supplies, equipment and custom printing. Maintains forms for facility, based on program and departments housed at facility
- Ability to answer phones promptly and in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with client and staff
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
- Ability to maintain professional and engaging demeanor while working with diverse populations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet established deadlines
- Moderate to advanced computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Multiple Databases, Scheduling Programs
- Effective de-escalation skills
- Basic office equipment operation skills
