The Radiation Oncology Medical Director will support the CVS Health Specialty oncology business in managing oncology specific utilization of providers, clinical reviews of oncology specific data, growing our oncology footprint throughout the enterprise, identifying market eminence opportunities, supporting the design of studies and reports, orchestrating data analytics, client facing presentations and support of clinical staff.
This position is remote based and "Work from Home"
Responsibilities include:
Provide utilization management and oncology subject matter expertise throughout the CVS enterprise.
Act as liaison between internal and external resources.
Support the expansion of our oncology footprint, client facing strategy presentations and internal creation of new strategies to improve quality and value delivery in the oncology care continuum.
Collaborate with a team of pharmacists and clinicians to help understand the oncology landscape and develop value based contracts.
Collaborate with Communications and Sr Leadership to promote internal and external communications for the oncology Specialty business.
Plan and execute webinars/meetings and other focused events to help drive an understanding and appreciation for the oncology specialty work.
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years clinical practice experience in medical oncology or hematology
* 3+ years healthcare experience
* Expertise in Radiation Oncology
* Demonstrated knowledge of utilization management
* Knowledge of peer to peer reviews
* Basic knowledge of PowerPoint
* Basic knowledge of study design and statistics
Preferred Qualifications
5+ yrs Expertise in Radiation Oncology
Education
MD or DO
Current Board Certification in Radiation Oncology
