Position Summary |
The Department of Internal Medicine, within the Office of Education, is seeking a Medical Education Assistant 1 to support allaspects of the Internal Medicine Clerkship Program. The assistant is responsible for providingsupport to the Program Coordinator, Program Manager, and be a first point ofcontact for residents, students, and faculty for the Education division. The ProgramAssistant 1 will be responsible for organizing, setting- up, and cleaning-upafter regular events such as Phase 2 and3 Orientations, tracking attendance for required lectures and other events,distributing and collecting student evaluation forms to faculty and preparingthem for the coordinator to input grades. Will work with the program coordinator for creating the lecture schedulefor each block, uploading information to student learning platform, manage andrespond to emails for the clerkship account as appropriate, event planning andscheduling, ordering supplies, getting program materials printed anddistributed. Updating software and spreadsheets for managing studentinformation and rotations. The Assistant 1 will also be responsible foranswering phones and responding other inquiries for the Educationdivision. They will also provide supportand back-up for the Residency on an as needed basis. The successful candidatewill have exceptionally strong computer, communication, and organizationalskills. This is a high priority position for a complexand active unit within Internal Medicine. Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |

Additional Requirements | Must be available for some early morning, weekend or evenings as needed for recruitment season or special events. |
