Job Description
Responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating a record information system appropriate for evaluation of patient care utilization services.

- Implements systems approach in order to streamline workflow resulting in more effective record information control.
- Coordinates and integrates into the patient information system all records, indexes, and reports that relate to the professional care of the patient and administrative management.
- Assists the medical staff in the use of the selected terminology and classification systems so that the information can be retrieved in an expedient fashion.
- Acts as contact for all legal matters with insurance companies and attorneys.
- Processes change of status and adjust records accordingly.
- Archives discharged records and maintains archive area.
- Copies required documentation for CHHA, other offices, etc. and forwards to appropriate person for mailing.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The typical salary range for this role is $15 - $19/hour.

Required Qualifications
- Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Medical terminology and technology preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.

- Constant talking and hearing.
- Constant sitting, walking, and standing with occasional kneeling and stooping.
- Constant use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects with the ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities to include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
- Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Medical terminology and technology preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
