Medical Scribe for Orthopaedic Office

OrthoArizona is looking for medical scribes in the East Valley interested in gaining experience in the medical field, specifically in orthopaedic/sports medicine. This is a great opportunity to work in the South East Region with Orthopaedic Surgeons gaining vital clinical experience if you are Pre-Med, Pre-PA or Pre-Nursing candidate. You will be in the exam room with the surgeon typing the HPI, physical exam, imaging dictation, assessment and plan, putting in diagnosis codes, orders for office visit and all inner office procedures. You could also be assisting in very basic inner office procedures such as aspirations, suture/staples removal. You will be trained to room patients and take vitals, so when needed to room a patient you are able to do so. We work as a team to get the job done, so helping out cleaning patient rooms, trays and stocking rooms will also be expected. You will need to be able to type a minimum of 60 WPM. We see a high volume of patients on the days that we are in clinic and it is very fast paced. Clinic hours vary by team so candidates must have a flexible schedule to accommodate office hours from 7am-5pm, Monday - Friday. There may also be opportunities to observe surgeries in the operating room with the surgeon and physician assistant.

• High School or college degree.
• Interest in Medical Field, preferably Pre-Med, Medical School, Physician Assistant, or other healthcare related field.
• Good communication skills
• Accurate typing skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR use a plus.
