Medical Staff Coordinator- FT

Job Description

Provides administrative support to the Medical Staff Services Department and the Medical Staff Leadership. Process medical staff dues, prepare, distribute and record Medical Staff ballots, maintain physician mailboxes; prepare and distribute notices to physicians and departments, including but not limited to announcements, medical staff directory, out-of-town notices, change of address, temporary privileges and medical staff credentialing action following board meetings. Performs credentialing responsibilities in an expeditious manner to bring on new physicians and allied health professionals (practitioners), maintain current practitioner status and to report concerns about the hospital's liability with credentials issues.

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Experience in Medical Staff preferred

Licenses/Certificates:

Preferred: Certified by the National Association of Medical Staff Services
