Medical Staff Coordinator

  • Responsible for coordination and preparation of medical staff functions; prepares for department and committee meetings, takes minutes, processes and distributes appropriate correspondence.
  • Responsible to maintain physician files, coordinate and process initial appointments and reappointments.
  • Performs bookkeeping activities for the medical staff.
  • Assists in formulating budget for the area.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and assessment skills necessary to communicate, educate, and provide a safe environment for specific age groups served.
  • Build positive relationships with providers on the medical staff and Meet with physicians to support hospital strategic initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years experience in Medical Staff Office preferred or the ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency after successful completion of a training program.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages helpful. Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of various software applications. Knowledge of medical staff procedures, minute taking and medical staff office processes.
