POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services and the direct supervision of a Medical Technologist Coordinator, the Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree preferred
  2. Completion of approved training program for Medical Technologist with MT (ASCP or AMT) certification or equivalent.
  3. Must be CLIA qualified for high complexity testing.
  4. Previous experience in clinical laboratory preferred.
  5. Certification per unit specific competency (i.e. BLS, CPI, etc.
