Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, recently ranked 10th of the 150 Top North American Suppliers in Automotive News. A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals.
This position involves production planning and scheduling AND Inventory Control. Must have manufacturing expereince.
- Manages Requests for Proposals (RFP), specifications, long term agreements and Blanket Orders for corporate products and services.
- Communicate orders and delivery schedule, and maintain good supplier relations.
- Coordinate purchasing for engineering functions.
- Coordinate the procurement of material and services necessary to support the manufacturing schedule.
- Issue and approve purchase orders as required to procure production related material as well as items required for maintenance, repair, facility operations, engineering, and MRO.
- Ensures material delivery requirements to support production.
- Coordinate supplier returns and replacement of non-conforming material.
Additional duties include managing inventory, tracking orders, resolving issues concerning price disputes, and making bids for a vendors services.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Report writing skills.
- Strong math, analytical and organizational skills are essential for the success of buyer.
- Experience using JD Edwards manufacturing software preferred.
- Understands supply chain concepts
- High School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree in Business or related field strongly preferred.
