POSITION SUMMARY:
- Reporting to the Director of Informatics and Technology, the Network Engineer will work as a member of the team responsible for the implementation, maintenance and administration of the Hospital's network and server infrastructure. The Network Engineer will manage, troubleshoot, and maintain the Hospital's network equipment, wireless technology, Storage Area Network (SAN), virtual and physical servers, enterprise backup, Internet and remote connectivity, and supported hardware/software.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/License/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Management IT, Industrial Technology highly preferred or equivalent experience.
- Current Cisco CCNA, VMWare VCP, or similar certification as approved by the Department Director is required.
Experience/Skills:
- Must have Five (5) years of experience of networking or systems experience in an enterprise setting
- Must have experience in Microsoft Windows Server (2008-2012r2); Microsoft Active Directory; Microsoft Exchange; PowerShell; Microsoft SQL Server; VMWare vSphere; Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure; Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting is highly preferred
