Pay Range

$30. 59 - $43. 09/hr

Assists in development, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of nursing orientation competencies/goals for new nursing staff. Assures that all new nursing staff are competent to independently assume patient care. Fosters growth, learning and enhances socialization of the nurse learner. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with regulatory and clinical standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Expectations: will help to organize, schedule and facilitate the orientation for resident nurses in OR at Parker with the PONI program. Will likely act as a primary preceptor for new residents. Can also be asked to circulate in the OR when residents are not working or scheduled, and should anticipate this. Schedule will be days and mostly Monday - Friday but could fluctuate based off of unit operational needs of the PONI residents or operations of the OR.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• A.D.N. required, BSN preferred
• Two years of recent clinical experience in the Operating Room (OR) required
• Must be proficient in a variety of surgical areas (general, ortho/spine, GYN, etc.)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required
• Completion of Centura Health Preceptor Workshop training
• Requires advanced knowledge and expertise in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
  
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Physical requirements: Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
