During school hours, one of our clients is seeking motivated professionals to work as a School Nurse in the greater North Middlesex area.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The primary purpose of the School Nurse (DESE Cert.) position is health and wellness assessments of pediatric students in a school setting, with the goal of helping them reach their maximum performance potential within an educational model of practice. Daily activities do/may include:
* Administer and/or supervise the administration of prescription medication to students
* Counsel and/or educate students in small groups or as individuals concerning medical issues
* Participate in meetings about students when medical input, interpretation, or consultation is needed
* Conduct formal workshops and/or informal training for staff as appropriate
* Maintain adequate and updated health records
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* RN Degree and DESE
* CORI
* A minimum of one (1) year experience in a professional nursing position
* Experience with or strong interest in working with children from Kindergarten to 8th grade
* Experience with medication management and administration(RN)
