Essential Job Functions

  • Serve delightful meals to residents, lending a helping hand with eating and drinking when needed.
  • Assist in the grooming, bathing, and dressing of residents, ensuring they look and feel their best.
  • Master the art of repositioning and adjusting bed settings for ultimate resident comfort.
  • Provide walking assistance and wheelchair transport to those in need.
  • Keep rooms pristine and sterile, performing bed changes and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Take on the crucial task of monitoring vital signs and documenting eating habits and bodily functions.
  • Swiftly report any changes to nurses or physicians.
  • Safely transport medical equipment in and out of rooms, meeting every patient's unique requirements.
  • Commit to scheduled work hours, ensuring stability and reliability for both residents and the team.
  • Work effectively with general supervision, showcasing exceptional organizational skills in a busy environment.
  • Communicate seamlessly with residents and families, promoting a customer service-oriented and supportive environment.
  • Maintain a calm and warm working environment, fostering positive relationships with team members.

Requirements, Experience and Education

  • High School degree or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • NA Certificate and completion of state-approved CNA education and training program
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • High level of patience, empathy, and compassion
  • Excellent observation and communication skills
  • Basic computer and record keeping skills
  • Physical and mental stamina; ability to work long hours on ones feet and lift 100+ pounds
  • Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to twist, bend and kneel through shift

Working Hours

12 hour shifts as Scheduled. Works weekends and holidays as scheduled.
