POSITION SUMMARY:
- Under the general oversight of the Manager of Education & Nursing Operations, to include the Staffing Office, the Nursing Supervisor functions as an Administrative extension for all patient care areas of the Hospital. Is responsible to ensure that staff assigned have the abilities to assess, treat or provide care appropriate to the ages of the patient served. Collaborates with other supervisors to provide adequate staffing of Nursing units facility wide. In the absence of Hospital Administration, assumes Administrative responsibilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/License/Certification:
- Must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Must have BSN degree, or obtain within 28 months of hire.
- Must have and maintain current BLS Certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or obtain within orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care.
- Must have and maintain ACLS Certification.
Experience/Skills:
- Must have evidence of continuing education in supervision, education, or management
- Two (2) years of experience in Clinical Nursing required. Prior management experience as a Charge Nurse, Assistant Director or Director required.
