This position performsdelegated duties consistent with defined role and provides supportive care under the direction of a RegisteredNurse and in accordance with policies and procedures. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. The nursing tech role allows nursing students enrolled in an accredited nursing program to gain clinical skills while still in nursing school. Responsibilities include but not limited to: performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN (such as: vital signs, blood glucose and I&Os); perform tasks as delegated by a RN such as: assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living, reports abnormal findings or changes in patient status to RN. Assists with keeping unit(s); and patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Completion of nursing fundamentals and med/surg I clinicals or equivalent and must be enrolled in a nursing program (ADN,BSN)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Enrolled in a nursing program (ADN, BSN) or recent graduation within the past 6 months. Proof of enrollment requiredat the beginning of every term. Any change in active enrollment status must be communicated immediately.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for HealthCare Providers certification required from American Heart Association require

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

$17.00
