FT (2 positions), 72 hrs/pp, 0.9 FTE; varies as scheduled.
Job Summary: Under the direction of a registered nurse and/or physician assists in the care and treatment of patients consistent with training and scope of certification and/or licensure. This individual is responsible to assist the labor team with deliveries, newborn care including feedback, hygiene and vital signs. Coordinates paper flow and clerical duties for Labor and Delivery, post-partum and newborn patients. This person serves as an adjunct to nursing care for a caseload of patients under the direction of and in collaboration with the Registered nurse.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of medical assistant program, CNA
Ability to read, write and speak English
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Bilingual Spanish Preferred
Licensure & Certifications Requirements: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), CNA, MA-R, MA-P MA-C
